Russia strengthens trade relations in agricultural sector with the Republic of Serbia

Sergey Levin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia, met with Dusanka Golubovic, State secretary at Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Serbia.

Sergey Levin gave a positive assessment of the volumes of mutual trade in agricultural products, including the increase in the share of exports from our country.

The parties discussed cooperation in the field of veterinary and phytosanitary supervision and noted that the mutual work on ensuring the access of agro-industrial products, carried out by the competent agencies of the two countries, plays an important role in increasing the volume of supplies. At present, the Serbian market has access to almost all major types of domestic livestock and plant products. At the same time, the work on mutual expansion of the lists of companies-exporters of agricultural products continues.

In order to further strengthen agricultural cooperation with Serbia, a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia will be sent to Belgrade in 2023 to coordinate all issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture.
