Agricultural production increased by 2.9% in the first six month of 2023

The Russian agro-industrial complex continues to augment production volumes in the main areas. According to the Federal State Statistics Service, in the time span from January to June, agricultural output increased compared to the same period last year and reached 2.4 trillion rubles.

The index of agricultural production amounted to 102.9%. In particular, indicators for livestock and poultry (+2.6%), milk (+3.2%), eggs (+2.5%) experienced growth.

The industry demonstrates stable positive dynamics of development. The implementation of investment projects continues, the processes of modernization and introduction of modern efficient technologies are underway, new agricultural lands are put into circulation. Systematic state support and broad market opportunities that have appeared recently stimulate business to develop, as well as increase the volume and range of products. This, in turn, allows Russia not only to increase self-sufficiency in basic types of food, but also to increase exports.
